Safer Streets Talk by David Engwicht 19th October

Submitted by sarahd on October 10, 2006 - 8:44am.

Would you like slower traffic in your street?
Would you like more vibrant street life?

A free public presentation by David Engwicht, Inventor of the Walking School Bus, award-winning author, artist and ‘street philosopher’.

David will be sharing inspiring stories from all over the world of how neighbourhoods are implementing his creative ideas for taming traffic and building community life.

He’ll explain the three types of “Mental Speed Bumps” and how they automatically slow traffic. Come and see his famous ‘throne in a suitcase’ which he has set up in streets all over the world and instantly tamed the traffic.
